Loversland, Best Bridal Shop in Toronto
Located in Toronto at Dundas & Ossington, Loversland is a bridal boutique in Toronto. Complete with impressive decor, amazing customer service, and drool-worthy brands, you won’t regret booking an appointment for your wedding dress in their Haven.
Growing up, I didn’t play dress up in my mom’s closet or dream of the perfect wedding dress, and then one day Johnny proposed, we picked a date, and I found myself Google-ing ‘wedding dress shops in Toronto‘ (it was weird).
With the advice of a few (old) married girlfriends, I picked 3 bridal shops, all varying in designers and styles, and scheduled to visit them all in one day (because efficiency, and because my mom is more popular than me and it’s tough for her to pencil me in).
Throughout all 3 bridal appointments, I tried on every type of dress I could have imagined (I honestly didn’t know there were names for all these dresses – the princess ball gowns, a-line dresses, trumpet and mermaid, and two pieces, they all surprisingly looked great). But, with a love for things comfortable and boyish, I knew a simple sheath wedding gown was what I was looking for, and that I’d strike gold at Loversland.
The moment I stepped into The Haven, I was sold. A private white tent for just me and my guests, filled with dreamy wedding dresses, makes for the perfect wedding boutique.
The best part about dress shopping at Loversland was their team. They asked for my wedding dress budget ($2000, preferably less, but could be swayed to throw a few extra dollars for the dress), showed me the section (with no judgement and more than enough choices), let me pick out pretty much every dress on the rack, and gave me all the space to let me make my own decisions without being pushy, ever. If anything, they were the right amount of honest, suggesting stunning alternatives if certain fits didn’t look too hot.
The process was so much more enjoyable than I ever thought it could be – the team at Loversland even handed me dresses that I may have missed (at lower prices than my budget and making sure to ask before handing me a wedding gown a little over).
Without being too over the top, too pink, or too boujee, Loversland has a way of making you feel right at home and comfortable (I mean, I half-laid on their couch for half an hour while debating and eventually purchasing the dress).
One of the best parts about the dresses at Loversland is the curation – with brands like Rue de Seine, A La Robe, and Bo and Luca, there’s so much to love. The simplest dresses had the most delicate straps, the perfect beading, and just enough lace. Complete with bridal accessories, Loversland is your one-stop-shop for all things bridal. They even have bridesmaid dresses, and fun outfits for your bridal shower, bachelorette party, or honeymoon.
After trying on all the dresses (I twirled, sat, wandered in them all), I narrowed it down to 2 favourite dresses. Knowing that I had one more appointment at another bridal shop, the Loversland team told me to take my time, that there was no rush (I had 9 months), and to go try on other dresses in other styles. There was absolutely no pressure. I ended up leaving my first visit with no dress, but came back during their sample sale (which they gave me a heads up on) and left that second visit with the dress, much under my budget, and the same comfortable experience.

Of the 3 bridal shops in Toronto I visited, Loversland was my top pick. Trying on dresses was quick (but not rushed), the experience was private, which made it extra comfortable for me to come out of the fitting room and for my guests, and there was absolutely no pressure (which I definitely felt while leaving the other shops).
The front of the store is open during regular store hours and filled with dresses, lingerie and accessories, swim, home decor, and more – the perfect stop to grab gifts for all the ladies (and even gentlemen) in your life, whatever the occasion.

Everything about my experience at Loversland makes me so excited to become a part of their #LLBride family. They had excellent (affordable) recommendations for shops to have my dress altered and cleaned, photographers, thoughts on venues, and even tips for the day-of. Their customer service, product curation, and aesthetic has me coming back for more every time I’m in the neighbourhood.
If you’re a bride-to-be, make sure to book an appointment and stop by the Haven for your special day. You won’t regret it.
